Employee Spotlight: Elahe Mohsenifar, Assistant Manager

Q: What do you do at Sidon?

“I help manage daily restaurant operations by supporting staff, handling customer service and making sure everything runs smoothly and efficiently. I assist with training employees, resolving issues or complaints, coordinating reservations and catering and maintaining quality standards while creating a welcoming environment for both customers and the team."

Q: How long have you worked here?

"This August will be my third year here!"

Q: What is your favorite part of your job?

"I really like the staff and the customers. I like making people happy and creating a warm and welcoming environment. I actually met my best friends working here at Sidon, so my favorite part is definitely the community and awesome people you get to meet along the way."

Q: What is one of the most memorable moments you have had at work?

"My most memorable moment was actually one of our busiest days of the year, University of Toledo's graduation day. There were several large reservations and we had a full house all day. That was really memorable for me because I felt like we did an amazing job as a team. It feels satisfying to get through a busy day knowing that you put forth your best effort and had great support from all your coworkers."

Q: What is one piece of advice you would give to a new employee joining the team?

"Take your job seriously, but also have fun. I'm big on being serious about my job, but I also love to have fun, and I think finding that balance will take you far in life, not just at Sidon!"

Q: What is your favorite way to spend your days off?

"Between being a full-time college student, having a part-time internship and working at Sidon, days off are rare for me. However, back when I had more free time, I loved spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants and cafes, going on trips, shopping, reading and watching shows!"

Q: What inpsires you?

"Honestly, my mom. She is the strongest person I know. She came to this country with nothing, and in return she gave me everything. She inspires me every day to keep going and never stop improving."

Q: What is your favorite item on the menu?

"I really love the Arugula Salad with Chicken Shawarma on top! It's such a good balance of sweet and savory, and it's healthy too!"

Q: Why should people dine at Sidon?

"There's something for everyone here! Our menu has a lot of options, but it's not overwhelming. Even the pickiest of eaters can find something they love. We have the perfect balance of authentic Lebanese food and not-so-authentic food like cheeseburgers and chicken nuggets, all of which are great! Anyone who walks through our door can find something they will enjoy and will be warmly welcomed."
